Setup

Ready in three steps.

  1. Poking open the holes in the MM01 lure with a toothpick 1

    Poke open the 3 holes

    Use a pin or toothpick on the MM01 lure.

  2. MM01 lure going into the recessed holder in the middle of the trap 2

    Set it in the center

    Drop the lure into the recessed holder in the middle of the trap and twist it clockwise.

  3. MM400 with its power adapter and MM01 lure 3

    Plug it in

    Connect the adapter and leave it running day and night.

Poke open all 3 holes first, or the trap won't catch well.

Very. A quick rinse about once a month.

  • Clean it monthly, or when the basket looks full. Unplug the trap before cleaning.

Placement

Placement makes the difference.

  1. Twist the basket onto the trap until the light comes on. If it doesn't light, turn the basket to a new position and twist again.
  2. Place it in shade, 3 to 4 ft off the ground, 30 to 40 ft from where people sit, upwind of shrubs or standing water.
  3. Plug in and leave it running day and night.

Moths and other small insects in the first 1 to 2 weeks are normal. Keep it running and the lure fresh. Mosquito numbers build in the catch over time.
